Kainat is currently an undergraduate student double majoring in Neurobiology and Life Science Communications at UW Madison. She is most curious about photoreceptor signaling and information pathways in the retina. Her current research is focused on the variation in photoreceptor connectivity in different parts of the retina. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, hanging with friends and family, and playing with her cat.
